Arrive in Cusco & Transfer to the Sacred Valley

Day 1: Thursday, May 21

​Welcome to Peru! Travelers will arrive at the Cusco Airport (CUZ), where private ground transport will take you on a scenic drive into the Sacred Valley. All flights must arrive in Cusco no later than 2:00 PM to ensure a smooth transfer and group check-in. We’ll settle into our luxury accommodations nestled in the valley and gather for a warm welcome and group dinner to kick off our adventure together.

Explore the Sacred Valley

Day 2: Friday, May 22

​We’ll spend the day immersed in the beauty and history of the Sacred Valley—visiting ancient ruins, vibrant markets, and breathtaking landscapes. The evening brings us together for another memorable group dinner.

Cultural Immersion & Andean Traditions

Day 3: Saturday, May 23

​Today is all about connection—with the land, its people, and ancient Incan traditions. We’ll take part in immersive cultural experiences that offer a deeper understanding of Peru’s rich heritage. We’ll end the day with a delicious group dinner and time to reflect on all we've seen and learned.

Journey to Machu Picchu

Day 4: Sunday, May 24

​Board a scenic train through the mountains as we make our way to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu. After a casual onboard lunch, we’ll arrive and enjoy a guided tour of this awe-inspiring site. We’ll overnight in the mountain village of Aguas Calientes and gather for a group dinner with views of the surrounding peaks.

Sunrise Moments & Luxurious Return

Day 5: Monday, May 25

​Start the morning with an optional self-guided visit to Machu Picchu—perfect for sunrise photos or quiet reflection. Later, we’ll board a luxurious train back to Cusco, where dinner will be served onboard. Expect live music, fine wine, and an unforgettable ride through the Andes.

Day 6: Tuesday, May 26

A Day to Wander

Day 7: Wednesday, May 27

​Enjoy a free day to explore Cusco on your own. Shop for handwoven textiles, visit world-class museums, or relax at a local café. In the evening, we’ll gather for our farewell dinner to toast our unforgettable time in Peru.

INCLUSIONS

Total price includes the following:

  • May 21 - 28, 2026 (8 days/7 nights)

  • 3 areas in Peru (Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes, Cusco)

  • Nightly accommodations 

  • One (1) shared room at each accommodation. Room assignment is assigned based on a first-come, first-served basis. All pricing is per person and based on double occupancy. More than 2 people per room incurs additional charges.

  • Ground transportation as detailed in the trip itinerary.

  • Train transportation as detailed in the trip itinerary.

  • Beverages and meals identified in itinerary.

  • Sacred Valley tour, Cultural Experience tour, Machu Picchu entry #1 & tour, Machu Picchu entry #2, Cusco City tour.

EXCLUSIONS

The trip cost does not include flights throughout the trip, including international and domestic flights. Meals not specified in the itinerary, alcoholic beverages (except where noted), and any activities planned independently outside the group itinerary are also excluded. Travelers are responsible for tips and gratuities for guides, drivers, and other service providers. Accommodations prior to May 21, 2026, and after May 28, 2026, are not included.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

  • Price and availability not guaranteed until deposit is made. Price is in U.S. Dollars.

  • A $1,000 deposit per person is required to confirm a reservation at the time of booking.

  • A reservation is binding once deposit is made.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Payment Due Dates

    • Due Immediately: $1,000

    • October 1, 2025: $2,500

    • February 1, 2026: Remaining Balance Due

  • All pricing is per person and based on double occupancy. Solo travelers are welcome to book a room to themselves but must pay a single supplement based on room selection (Please email us at info@thechronicexplorers.com for information on single supplement options). Rooms with more than 2 people incur an additional charge which must be calculated upon request.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@thechronicexplorers.com.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Please refer to the Guest Contract for details on cancellations, payments, refunds, and other terms & conditions which are incorporated into this and every tCE trip.

  • Please note, that changes made to overall party size may result in a change to the rate.

  • We highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance. A great resource for comparing options and purchasing insurance is www.insuremytrip.com.

  • Cancellation Fees:

    • From Date of Deposit through October 1, 2025: $1,000 (Guest Deposit) per Guest.

    • October 2, 2025 - February 1, 2026: $3,500 (Guest Deposit + $2,500) per Guest.

    • After February 1, 2026: 100% of trip price per Guest.

  • Our day-to-day itinerary may, from time to time and prior to departure, need to be altered or slightly modified to address possible unforeseen logistical and weather challenges.
